Hucclecote Netball Club Code of Conduct Club Ethos Strive to achieve the highest possible standards of play, both as an individual and for the team, whilst promoting good sportsmanship. The club is prominent at all levels - from local leagues, regional representation, national league and international honours. All members must realise that they play as part of a team / club, not as an individual. Actions of players reflect the club as a whole. As a club member we must ensure that we promote positive impressions through our - behaviour, both on and off court - body language - interaction with other teams, players and umpires. The club works hard to develop it's junior sections, yet this requires the help and support of all players during training sessions and on occasions for their fixtures. Training / Playing It is expected that all players attend training sessions weekly and that they are available for team fixtures. Club kit is available for all to buy and it is to be worn for all club fixtures. Sportsmanship The umpire is always right - accept this - players and spectators should not try to sway their options, but need to play to their interpretation of the rules. Smile and acknowledge the umpire's decisions. Treat the opposition, as we would like to be treated. Disciplinary Procedures This relates to all players and spectators. Depending on the severity of the offence, sanctions can move straight to any level. . Level 1 1st Offence Captains to speak to the player/spectator and will send a report to the club coach and club committee. Level 2 2nd Offence Refer the incident to the club coach, who will speak to the player/spectator. A report will be submitted to the club committee. Level 3 3rd Offence Match ban. The number will depend on the severity of the offence. Level 4 4th Offence The player/spectator will have their membership terminated.
