Doodlebugs
Netball Club
contact: Mrs J N Satchell at Jsatg223@aol.com
ages: U10 to adult
teams: 7 senior teams playing in Poole & New Forest League, 4
junior teams at present from U10 to U14
training: juniors, Friday evenings, seniors:
train as they wish & most of them are players who want to play & enjoy the social
contact rather than play for winning everything
notes: Doodlebugs began in 1980 as a team for players who had been
born before the end of World War 2 & still wanted to play but were into enjoyment
rather than total success. Hence the name - Doodlebugs, & the bomb logo. Adult
teams grew with players not born before the end of the war & with these players came
daughters who wanted to play so we developed the junior section (around 1982). The ethos
of the club is that anyone who wishes to play may do so whatever standard they are.Information last reviewed 2/2001 |
