Riviere Sands
We went to Riviere Sands to visit our hero Craig Barclay, but unfortunately, by the time we had arrived there, Craig was no longer the ents manager. We were a little gutted to say the least that he wasn't there, only the Riviere Team could bring us back to life but could they do it?
The answer was Yes! A superb team there at Riviere. Becky, Angelo, Emms, Caz, Ang, Sarah and now Louise too. They all did a great job from day one. Angelo was superb vocally as was Sarah and they would never pass us by without letting on to us. Emms and Caz were great too, all round there was also Ang and new Entertainment's Manager Louise, they were all great all week, but Ickle Becky Bumble Bee was great, she's such a lovely chick, I know we all wanted to bring her home with us at the end of the week, she's lovely.
There was also the Staff, the Security Team here were brilliant too and not forgetting the Bar Staff and Catering Staff who all stood out, we wondered if they had all had plastic surgery they were just smiling everytime you saw them and always willing to help, that's what good staff should be like, but at Riviere there's just so many in the one place.
As for the park, it's a smaller park than we normally visit, the main club (Follies) was ok but it soon filled up in there, so it's worth getting there a little earlier to get the posh seats. Downstairs from there is a small swimming area. Although it's a small area, the swimming team were great and gave great coaching for the snorkeling and bodyboarding, in particular Tim ,Jordan and Kim.
There's an arcade right outside the swimming area and just through a door is your outdoor play area with inflatable castle there for most of the day. All the usual play activities and trampolines too.
Near the main entrance is the Reception and facing that is the Chippy. The chips here are lovely and on our stay were served up by Stevan (with a smile might I add).
Just off the park, across the road is the Everydays shop packed with all the stuff you need, plus plenty of bodyboards for the beach. The boards here are very well priced and even after looking around the prices could be matched but not beaten, so save your legs and enjoy your holiday.
A two minute walk away is the Bluff Inn (another Haven Venue), more like a fancy pub with a small Cabaret area. The food here was great and so were the staff. The best thing was sitting by the window taking in the wonderful view of the beach and coastline while having a lovely meal.
The beach here is (as everyone else put it) 'LUSH'. It really was nice and is as good as you see it in the brochure, that is a genuine picture from the Bluff Inn, no pebbles on the beach itself, so you can body board in safety. The Lifeguards patrol all these areas for your safety, excellent.
The park itself seemed oddly set out compared with many others we have visited, but everything you needed to have a great time was available and we loved it. The cleanliness of the park was very good too, the cleaning staff really did a great job.
As for the Entertainment, the team were superb all week, there were no weak links to be seen throughout the park. The ents team were all so mad in purely a good way and they gave us so many great memories to take home with us, it's such a friendly park to visit.
We would like to thank Becky, Angelo, Emma, Caz, Ang, Sarah and Louise from the Entertainment's team, Stevan, Wayne and Jan from the Catering team, Simon, Aussie, Jason, Paul, Chris, Mariusz, Amy and Holly from the Bar staff, Tim, Jordan and Kim from the Lifeguards, Mike and Andy from Security and Lea from the Bouncy Castle, these are the guys that really made us feel so welcome at Riviere Sands and definitely deserve a mention for making our holiday so good through their hard work and dedication.
THANKS GUYS !
