Once the Modem Control Panel has been set to use the Null Modem script, the dialler must be configured to use MacTerminal:

• Go to Apple > Control Panels > Remote Access
• Check that the dial-up settings appear correct, as below (this stage is not essential right now but will become important later on)
• Click the Options... button.

Directions for the configuration of PPP are almost identical to those for Remote Access.
