Outlook Express error -7129 and error -7133

This error occurs when trying to receive mail in Outlook Express 5.x and is almost always caused by a corruption in the mail account configuration.  To resolve:

Go to Tools > Accounts and create a new mail account then try again (recommend removing old account configurations at the same time)

If this doesn't work...

  1. Quit Outlook Express
  2. Check TCP/IP settings (Apple > Control Panels > TCP/IP
  3. Dump Mac HD > System Folder > MacTCP DNR
  4. Reboot and try to receive mail again
