Summer Concert - 2004
Bramhall High School

This year sees a change of both date and venue for the SSBB Annual Summer Concert. We have had our Summer concert at the Town Hall on the first Thursday in July for a long time but this year have had to move it just over a month earlier in the year to avoid a clash with Stockport Music Department's Showcase. In addition we have had to change venue as we could no longer hire the Town Hall for free.

There was no presentation of leavers shields etc. at this concert. This will happen when we play at the Stockport Showcase at the RNCM on Thursday 15th July, which will be our last concert of the year.

Junior Band

This year's concert was started off by the Junior Band with a fantastic programme.

Their first piece was a Chris Maddock arrangement of Bill Conti's Gonna Fly Now.

This was followed by Amazing Grace by William Hines and arranged by Chris Maddock.

Next was I Will Follow Him from the Film Sister Act. Written by Stole, Roman & Plante, arranged by Chris Maddock and played by our company of novice nuns - Robert Mumford, Robert Booth, Michael Kaciubskyj, William Morley, Joe Shaw and Gareth Tagger

The Junior Band finished off with Hero written by Ingesias, Barry & Taylor and Summon the Heroes by John Williams, both pieces arranged by Chris Maddock.
