Senior Band

The 2006-2007 band

Members of the Senior band have come (in the main) from the Intermediate band and are usually aged between 14 and 18 years old. The band currently has around 40 members, the majority of whom are Grade 6 standard or above. Last year three of the Senior band members were also members of the National Youth Brass Band, and many play for other bands in and around Stockport including Vernon Band, Fodens, Marple; Hawk Green, Hazel Grove and Poynton.

The band are past National Youth Brass Band Champions (County section).

The band has performed in many fund raising events for schools, churches and charities. They have also made a number of CDs and Tapes - listen to a few of the tracks and then check out the SSBB Shop.
