Junior Band

The 2006-2007 band.

This band consists of children between the ages of 7 and 11 years old who have only recently taken up an instrument and who are working towards or have just taken Grade 1 exams. 

The Junior band was formed in May 2001 after the SSBB Parents Association had applied for and were successful in obtaining Millennium Fund funding to encourage more young people to take up a brass instrument. 

The band currently consists of around 25 members and we welcome potential members to come down on a Saturday morning to check us out.

The band's Musical Director is  Philip Pavey.
