The Committee
The Stockport Schools' Brass Band Association is run by a committee of parents and elected Band representatives.
There is a formally elected part of the Committee, consisting of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Administrator and Treasurer, along with other other co-opted roles. The committee helps to ensure that the conductors have all they need for the successful running of the bands i.e. music, instruments, transport, etc.

In addition to the ones pictured here there are many other parents and "friends" on the committee that help out at the practices on Saturday mornings and at the concerts and contests the bands take part in.

The committee also runs various social activities for the parents of the Band members and their friends, such as the BBQ & Quiz night and the Christmas Concert. A vital part of their role is to raise money for the bands via raffles, tombolas, and a Web Ivory Christmas Catalogue.
