The ship "CAM Jaguar", was the former Grimsby trawler, "Ross Jaguar", one of a fleet of twelve known as 'Cat' boats. These were built at the end of the 50's for middle-water fishing and crewed by men who had one of the toughest jobs in the world. When fishing declined the fleet was decommissioned and sold to CAM Shipping who converted them to off-shore oil and gas rig support vessels. Now she has been converted to a three-masted, fore and aft, gaff rigged sailing schooner and named: "JAGUAR".

"JAGUAR" Has sailed on a new voyage from Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea to Langkawi, Malaysia. Apologies to regular visitors to the site for the lack of news. I've now found the time to bring the site up to date. News will be reported daily during the voyage.

"Jaguar" sailed from Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea at 0900 on the 30^th October 2008, heading to Langkawi, Malaysia.
During the voyage "Jaguar's" position, (Latitude and Longitude), will be recorded regularly on this link.
25^th November 2008 - "Jaguar" is back in the Northern Hemisphere after crossing the Equator yesterday (24^th).
29^th November 2008 - "Jaguar", for once, thankful for stormy weather!
