Site FAQ
How comes in Firefox the borders are rounded but in other browsers it's still square?
That's because I set a Mozilla-only code in the CSS to round the borders. I'm sorry if this is not
convenient, I'll look into versions of this code that will be compatible with IE, Opera and possibly Chrome.
Why do you use Livejournal to host the Duckyboos Gallery? Simply because I find it really easy to use it. At the moment I only have about 55MB of space because I'm using free webspace, and as much as I'd like to host it by myself, I can't, because I don't have a bank account. So if I was to keep uploading pictures onto this webspace, some of which are over 100KB, I'd eventually run out of that space.
So on my Livejournal account, I've got 1GB of space, and my account type has a "scrapbook" feature in which I upload pictures, much like Photobucket, but you can organise each picture so that it looks neat and easy to navigate. The layouts are not very customisable, but they'll do for now. Maybe someday as my site gets bigger I'll keep a gallery within it, but in the meantime, hope you enjoy what's there!
What's the difference between the Duckyboos fansite and the Duckyboos blog?
Well it's simple really. The blog is where I post articles about Count Duckula, while the fansite is
just a fansite.
Can I use content from here on my own website?
NOT without my permission, thank you please. Especially the fanart, which I and the other artists
who've contributed have worked really hard on. When it comes to textual content, such as what you
see on the Duckyboos blog, please leave a link to where you got that text from. When writing for
permission, I might like to know what exactly you'll be using the content for.
I found your content on Google. Can I still use it?
Again, you'll have to contact me first. Using something, for example, to make bootleg items, just
because you found it on Google or any other search engine is not an acceptable excuse.
Count Duckula FAQ
So who exactly is this 'Cosgrove Hall'?
Cosgrove Hall are a British animation studio - one of the finest in the country. Well known for
cartoons such as Dangermouse and Wind in the Willows, they've been around since 1976 and are still
going strong even today, having used a wide range of animation techniques like cel animation, stop motion,
3D computer generation and Flash. The studio was founded by two animators, Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall;
one of Cosgrove's earlier works included the animations in cult kid's show Rainbow.
Will Count Duckula DVDs be released in my country?
Count Duckula DVDs are already available in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, Australia,
Mexico, Germany and Czech Republic, although I'm not currently aware of releases anywhere else. If I find something
I'll make sure I put it on my blog as well as the news section.
How old is Duckula exactly?
No-one is certain. If he were normal, I'd say about early 20's or so, though the minimum age he said
himself was "17 and a half".
Where can I buy Duckula merchandise?
Since almost all that's available of Count Duckula were the products made back in the late 80's,
your best bet is to look on eBay. More information and advice about buying can be found
here.
Misc FAQ
So tell me, how exactly did you become a Duckula fan, and how long for?
I've been a proper fan for well over a year now, but I loved the cartoon ten years before that.
You can read more about my rather short story of how I got to know Duckula here.
