About Duckyboos

Duckyboos is an English fansite dedicated to the 1988 Cosgrove Hall cartoon series Count Duckula. It was conceived after the creation of a blog of the same name and by the same author, Stacey Wheeler, in 2006; and is named after the nickname Nanny often gives to the Count in the series. Stacey decided to create both because she feels that Duckula wasn't as remembered as say Dangermouse, therefore not enough fansites, so as a result, she hopes to contribute well to the cartoon's fanbase.

Duckyboos aims to provide fans of Count Duckula with information and to introduce them to the cartoon, its characters and all other related aspects.

About Count Duckula

Count Duckula was a cartoon that was produced by British animation studio Cosgrove Hall Productions and originally aired on ITV in the UK from 1988 to 1993. It was a spin off of Dangermouse, an earlier production by the same studio, in which an older version of the Count was a villain. Duckula himself was a vegetarian vampire duck who as a result of a mistake in the sacred rite that brought him back, refused to take after his ancestors and insisted on going all around the world in search of adventure, fame and fortune.

Hello. I don't know how it happened, but I first became a fan of Duckula in 1995, when the cartoon was aired on Nickelodeon UK. I was eight years old at the time. But to admit, when Nick took the cartoon off the following year, the love I had for it was slowly dying, as I went through all kinds of things like moving house and losing cable, dealing with bullying due to other fandoms, and just getting older.

But that all changed ten years later, in 2005, when I saw the introduction again. It reminded me of those fine childhood memories I had, so I decided to go further in...

I'm an artist in the making, and I adore music to points where I sometimes like to compose some, cartoons and 80's/90's nostalgia, especially the latter two from Britain, where I was born and raised. I currently work in a library.
