Trams

Croydon Tramlink

Very good unofficial site for Croydon Tramlink.  Well worth a visit to both the site and tramway system.  Ceri and I have traveled the complete system.

Sheffield Supertram

Official site for Stagecoach’s Supertram system in Sheffield.  Ceri and I have traveled the complete system.  A day rover ticket costs £2.40– it is one of the best bargains going.

Nottingham Express Transit

New tram system in Nottingham, which opened 9th March 2004.  All day tram ticket for £2.00.  Don’t forget my own pages as well on NET.

Trams of Hungary

Very good website in English and Hungarian on the trams of Hungary.  Website includes a photo I took in 82 of Moszkva Tér

Light Rail Transit Association

Good source of information and links to trams systems and other light rail systems worldwide.

Camping

Hilleberg

Makers of good quality lightweight tents, used by many within the Tandem Club.

MSR

Mountain Safety Research (MSR) makers of good liquid fuel stoves, ideal for lightweight camping, but not for the faint hearted.  Whisperlite stove very good for petrol, and the Dragon Fly great for most fuels you can buy on tour with the added bonus of flame control.  As these use liquid fuels, they are cheap to run providing you avoid white gas (Colman Fuel - £14 per litre against 78p per for unleaded petrol!)

Younger Days

Stanley Tech

Stanley Tech was where Philip and I went to skool, he left in 73 and I stayed on in the 6th form and left 75.  We joined the skool as a 2 form 11 to 18 skool, halfway through it became a 6 form 14 to 18 comprehensive high skool.

Old skool photo

Philip and I were at Stanley at the same time as Captain Sensible from the Damned.  On the Damned web site there a full skool photo from our first year at Stanley.  Can you guess which one I am?
