There is much to see and do in Cambridge, a beautiful old city famous for its University Colleges, and especially for Kings College and Kings College Chapel
Henry VI laid the foundation stone of Kings College Chapel in 1446. The Chapel was planned on a Cathedral scale. The building work continued through the rein of Henry, and much was done under Richard III, with the Tudor kings Henry VII and Henry VIII completing the work. The Chapel is one of Europe’s finest late medieval buildings, and truly ‘a work of kings’.
