Training

New Divers
Starting in the pool our instructors will take you through the Ocean Diver training programme, which will equip you with the fundamentals needed to undertake a variety of open water dives. Starting with basic snorkeling skills, you will build up to learning about the equipment, buoyancy, handling kit underwater and the basic rescue skills.

You are then ready to undertake your first dive either at a sheltered inland site or a simple shore dive on the south coast. This will be followed by additional dives to lean the necessary skills.

Finally you will undertake an open water dive to qualify as a BSAC Ocean Diver.

One of our members also has a current CRB and therefore the club can offer a safe training environment for younger people as well.

Have a chat with one of the instructors and see how the club can help you to improve your skills, you may want to advance to the next grade or just refresh a few skills either in the safety of the pool or on a controlled open water dive.

All this can be arranged with the help of the experienced club instructors.
