SKETTY YOUTH PROJECT
Sketty Youth Project is a
Christian charity serving young people in Swansea, Wales.

Staff
Sketty Youth Project is a registered charity (no.1077370) managed by four trustees. They work with the full-time Project Manager and a large team of volunteers.
Our new youth worker, Dave Elwood, starts work this September. He replaces Rich, who has moved on to a new project in London.
It was, and still is, our intention that Dave would be one of at least two workers.
We are therefore in the process attracting funding for a second paid worker to develop new initiatives and consolidate the work at the Goldfish Bowl.
The most important people, however, in the work of the Project are the volunteers.
Volunteers help in many essential ways, from administrative work and fund-raising to cleaning and running the cafe-bar.
Some give up several hours of their time, others help out on an occasional basis.
Becoming a volunteer
The more volunteers we have, the more we can do for the young people we serve.
We encourage people to develop their particular skills and abilities and learn new ones whilst working for us.
We ask that volunteers go through a short induction session before commencing any duties,
in order that the policies and objectives of our work can be discussed with you.
Are all volunteers Christian?
As a Christian charity, the Project is run with a Christian ethos.
Therefore, those with regular contact with young people, or those who take on a supervisory role,
should agree with our Christian principles. However, this is not essential for all volunteers.
