SKETTY YOUTH PROJECT
Sketty Youth Project is a Christian charity serving young people in Swansea, Wales.

Aims & Objectives
Sketty Youth Project (SYP) exists to serve young people of secondary school age in West Swansea. The aim is to meet their physical, mental, spiritual and social needs through the provision of a wide range of activities, many of them based in a youth centre, The Goldfish Bowl, in Sketty Cross. Through our work we attempt to put our Christian beliefs and principles into action.

Hopefully the whole community will benefit from Sketty Youth Project. South Wales Police, Swansea City & County Council, West Wales TEC, Olchfa School, Bishop Gore School, local Welsh Assembly Ministers and several local churches, organisations and companies have pledged their support to the work of SYP.

The charity was set up in 1999 by a group of Christians and is therefore founded upon Christian principles. Whilst having a Christian foundation, the charity works with all young people, regardless of their own beliefs. An Equal Opportunities Policy exists to protect young people and staff alike.

Sketty Youth Project is a Registered Charity, Number 1077370, and is affiliated to the Wales Youth Agency and is a member of Gweini, a Christian pressure group to the Welsh Assembly. Full details of the governing document are available on request.
