Information for games at Romford
Romford Ice Rink, Rom Valley Way, Romford, Essex RM7 0AE. 01708 724731.
Romford is quite easy. If the roads are quiet it takes about an hour from Streatham but on match days it will be at least 90 minutes.
You drive out of London on the A12, joining after the Rotherhithe tunnel or after the South Circular as it suits you, though if you want to go the M25 route you'll be joining the A12 beyond Romford. There are interminable signs for Romford but eventually you come to the A125 turning, which has a filter lane on the right and a hair-pin bend at the lights. (If you want to do the M25 the you'll be coming into London on the A12 to get this turning on your left, but there would be quicker routes in than the A12.) The A125 brings you down to the dual-carriageway ring around the centre of Romford. Take the right turn at the first roundabout, straight over at the second and under the railway bridge. At the next roundabout you go virtually straight on, though the main route veers to the left. The rink is just a little way down on the right with a big free car park.
Peckish afterwards? Let me know if you find somewhere to eat.
