Information for games at Haringey
Alexandra Palace, Wood Green, London N22 7AY. 020 8444 3439.
Haringey can be difficult because of the traffic. If the roads are quiet it takes less than an hour from Streatham but on match days it will be at least 90 minutes.
I'm going to assume you can get to Highbury and Islington corner, due north of the Angel on the A1. Personally, I go via the Elephant & Castle, Blackfriars Bridge, Farringdon, Angel but I know a lot of people are more familiar with the city ring road. From Highbury and Islington corner continue on the A1 and turn right at the filtered traffic lights just before going under the big railway bridge at Holloway Road Station. From there it's just a matter of following the road north through innumerable traffic lights until you find yourself opposite the park entrance. Then it's up the hill through the park, round Ali Pali and into the (free) car park on the left.
Peckish afterwards? There's a kebab shop back the way you came in, just to the left and almost opposite the park entrance, and there are pizza and cheap chicken places along the Hornsey Road. Inside the rink there's a cafe but you can be sure it will be closed if you want anything.
