STOP PRESS!! Redskins trials announced.

It's still a Streatham thing!

Warren Trunchion
We have to report that Head Coach Warren Trunchion is going to take a sabbatical whilst he supports his parents through a very difficult time; our thoughts will be with him and all his family.  Meanwhile, we have a season to finish and so Director of Coaching Adam Goldstone, in discussion with the Redskins coaching and management team, has taken steps to ensure that we have strong leadership at the helm.

We are please to announced that, with immediate effect, another Streatham old boy from way back, Darryl Morvan, has agreed to step in and work with us for the remaining weeks of the season.  "I've known Darryl for many years and he has a lot of history with our club." said Adam. "I'm confident that his knowledge and experience of the game, coupled with his commitment to the shirt, will stand us in good stead."

Darryl Morvan
"I was very flattered to receive the call from Adam, and with me having started my career at Streatham and having been proud to wear the Redskins shirt myself, I feel honoured to be asked to try and help the team through the balance of the season to allow Warren spend time with his family" added Darryl. "The club and the supporters have remained special to me even throughout my years at Oxford, and I will be doing all I can to finish what Warren and Barry started, and to work with the players to achieve a finish to  the season that they, and the supporters deserve."  Darryl is confident that the team will have the 100 % support of the fans. "It's not going to be an easy run-in to the end of the season, but I know the guys will give 110 % in every game, and a coach and supporters cannot ask more of that from their team", he continued. " I'd also like to thank Oxford for their help in facilitating this opportunity for me , while currently retaining my responsibilities with the Oxford junior club - for me it shows what a big "family" ice-hockey is in this country".

You will find more information about each of the players this season by following the links to the left. We hope that you will come down to a home game one Sunday night and find out what it means to be part of the Streatham Thing.
