Redskins appoint new coaching team - it's a Streatham thing!

“We’re delighted to be able to announce that Warren Trunchion will be returning to Streatham to take over as Head Coach, following the departure of Dean Birrell” said Adam Goldstone, Director of Coaching.

“Warren is a Streatham player through and through, and until he retired from playing in 2007 was an influential and very popular member of the Redskin’s team. Last season he had a stint as assistant coach, before work commitments cut short the arrangement. Joining Warren as Assistant Coach will be Barry Spours, whose involvement with the Redskins as a player goes back to the late 1980s. I think we have a really strong team in Warren and Barry and I’m confident that the Redskins can look forward to another successful season”.

The new season will be starting on the weekend of 8th September and Warren Trunchion is looking for players who have what it takes to be part of this Division One South team. If you think you can make the cut, contact the Manager to come for a trial. Training will be starting on Wednesday 6th August and will be the usual 22.15 - 00.15 slot; prospective players will be able to trial on Wednesday evenings throughout the month.

Streatham Redskins is the senior team affiliated to the Streatham Ice Hockey consortium and is playing in Division 1 of the English National Ice Hockey League (ENIHL).
