November 1st 2008 Ben Walsh comes 6th in the World Biathle Championships held in
Cape town, South Africa. The Run/Swim/Run event was reported as being "Very physical"
and was very close. Ben finished only 24 seconds behind the gold medallist.
September 3rd 2008 Do you Triathlon swim train by yourself? Do you just do what ever
you feel like when you get in the pool? Are you not sure which type of swim drills
to do or why? Would you like to learn how to set yourself a structured winter Triathlon
specific training cycle to get the best out of your time and input for the 2009 season?
We know at Swim-tech that these problems exist and so during early December we will
be holding a Swim-tech Stroke Correction "Plus" training day to help address these
points. Dates will be announced soon on the Workshop and Home page.
August 24th 2008 The FREE Summer Open Water Training has now ended for this year
in Dover Harbour. Due to demand it will be back in the Summer of 2009. It will be
FREE as this year to all Triathletes.
August 8th 2008 Both Julie and Graham have qualified to represent Team G.B. at the
European Age Group Triathlon Championships 2009 to be held in Holland.

August 3rd 2008 Swim-tech's rising young star Ben Walsh gains Siver medal at the 2008 Biathle European Championships which were held today in Manchester. Having just moved up to a new age group and so giving away years strength to the older members in the age group. Ben still showed that there is much more yet to come as he age matures.
The World Championships are due to be held later this year in South Africa. A short Youtube clip of Ben can be seen HERE

June 11th 2008 Ben Walsh started the 2008 Triathlon season recording a second place spot at the recent Deal tri event. After exiting the water almost 30 seconds ahead of the next triathlete Ben faded slightly on the cycle but pulled back the runners up slot with a very fast run.

The 2008 Age group European Triathlon Championships in Lisbon saw Julie have the race of her life (so far) in gaining third place and the bronze medal for GB. With only 1 Km to go she fought her way to the medal position and dug in to hold it till the finish line.
Out of the seven Triathletes competing at the championships that are coached by Swim-tech four also gained top ten finish positions including one only GB finisher in the top ten in age.


November 2nd 2007
Graham, triathlon coach of Swim-tech joined up once again to assist triathlon coach & Ex GB Elite Triathlete Paul Newsome of www.SwimSmooth.com Paul, who now coaches full time in Australia with Bill Kirby the Olympic gold medallist, had returned to the UK holding four Swim Stroke correction courses for UK Triathletes.
Also assisting at the Windsor course was Harry Wiltshire, who is probably one of the fastest GB Triathlon swimmers at this present time. Harry was also one of Paul’s first triathletes that he coached.
October 1st 2007
World Biathle Championships, Monaco France.
Ben Walsh raced for the Great Britain team as the current age group British Champion in the fast and furious Run-Swim-Run event.
Ben finished in 5th place and 1st Great Britain team member against very strong opposition from all over the world.
A fantastic end to the 2007 race season.
6th Place for Julie Williams at the World Triathlon Sprint Championships, Hamburg 2007

Swim-techs Julie Williams showed how well her training had gone this year with what she described as "the race of her life" gaining a 6th place at the World Triathlon Sprint Championships held in Hamburg, Germany.
Julie stated the swim and coaching preparation she had been given in the rough cold water of the English Channel had been the perfect training area for the 14 degree dark Alster basin swim.
"Had I not been coached by Graham specifically for this course in all the three disciplines, I know the result would not have been a 6th World Champs finish."
3rd Place at Inter Regional Championships for Ben Walsh

The South East region successfully defended their team title at the Mazda Inter Regional Triathlon Championships at Ballahouston Park in Glasgow, Scotland.
Judith Ford, the South East Regional Development Manager said:
"Many congratulations to the South East team, they were truly outstanding. Every athlete gave absolutely everything in their triathlons, and it was wonderful to see so many young athletes showing lots of promise for the future."
Ben Walsh put in another top performance with the fastest swim of the day. A third place finish for him added to the teams points total.
August 11th 2007 Graham wins British Triathlon National Relay gold medal at the BTF sprint team triathlon championships staged at the national rowing centre Nottingham. The Lady vets team come close with a 5th place. 7 out of the 8 team members are coached by Swim-tech
August 7th 2007 Young Ben Walsh strides on. First he has been selected to be part of the South East Junior tri team for the National Inter-Regional Championships in Glasgow. Then he won by 25 metres the 2007 Modern Biathlon Championships on Sunday 4th August which were held in Salford docks Manchester. He now goes on to represent GB in Monaco in September.This result now means that every Swim-tech athlete will represent a Team GB in 2007.

Swim-tech coach Graham recently received this email from British Triathlon as one of only twelve coaches selected from the South-east region for further triathlon coach training supported by an European grant. "I am delighted to inform you that you have been selected for the "On Track" coaching scholarship programme. You have been identified as a priority
development coach, the region considered your development key to improving
provision of triathlon training within South East clubs.
June 30th 2007 Confirmed results from the British Triathlon web site show that
Swim-tech coach Graham Williams has qualified for the World Triathlon Championships (standard distance) age group GB team along with Julie Williams. Julie has been selected to race for team GB in the first ever World Sprint Triathlon Championships. Both take place in Hamburg, Germany.
June 20th 2007 Swim-tech coached Ivor Spencer used the Nokia Royal Windsor triathlon as a swim time test & set a new PB in doing so, as he exited the water in 3rd place for his age group. This was the highest place ever in any tri swim section. Ivor was asked to swim only at the 3000m pace that we have been working on for the World Long distance triathlon championships. This he did with great results and little energy depleted.
June 18th 2007 Swim-tech's Ben Walsh gets another second place at Arun in the second round of the South East series. A great swim again exiting the water in 1st. Ben lost ground on the grass bike route but blitzed his way back to gain second on the run.

June 10th 2007 Swim-tech coached Dave Fowler exits the water at the Weymouth half Ironman in 8 th place his best ever position. Described by David as the perfect swim.

Swim-tech's up and coming young Triathlete Ben Walsh raced to a second place at the 2007 Deal tri "Fun Kids Triathlon". A great start for Ben in this years South-Eastern young Triathletes race series.
Ben narrowly lost out by only 3 seconds on a deserved first place. On leaving the pool first his T1 transition took longer than normal and although a powerful bike split brought him right back into contention, those vital seconds lost were enough to deny a winning place.
