Weddings

You’ve made the walk down the aisle, proclaimed your love, and exchanged glistening wedding rings. Congratulations you are now husband and wife. Now it’s time relax, unwind, forget all the stress and celebrate the day at your reception.

Whether or not you have a band and a DJ or a DJ only, we make your big night go off with a bang. After your initial enquiry we will allocate a DJ for your wedding at least 2 weeks in advance. All the planning is behind you. Then the DJ will make it his business to contact / meet you to discuss exactly how you want thing to be done on YOUR big night. Our DJs have years of experience and music knowledge along with being able to judge the crowd's musical tastes but are also flexible. The last thing you need to be worrying about is the entertainment on your Wedding Day with Abacus you are guaranteed peace of mind

Having a DJ you can trust to handle all the MC duties is important, but where most DJs really shine is where it comes to knowing what music will get the crowd on the dance floor.  As a general rule the guests will not dance until after the bride and groom have had their first dance. If other special dances are in order, they would be done next.  In most cases your DJ will kick off the dance portion of your reception right after the special dances.  This gets the guests up and on the dance floor so that they don’t begin to feel left out.  Other festivities such as the bouquet and garter toss can take place at appropriate times during the reception.

The music for your reception should cater for all the guests as well as the bride and groom. In order to supply a first class service there is a consultation with the Bride & Groom to discuss what your musical preferences are. During this meeting The DJ will make suggestions to you both and a format for the evening can be set out. We can cater for all musical tastes and preferences so be sure to discuss this with the DJ beforehand in order for him to locate and source different songs.
