League
Rules for Season
- The League shall be called The
Grimsby & Distrct Mens Club Darts League and its
objectives shall be the fostering of competitive darts playing
among the associtations accepted into the league or into any
competition organised by the league.
- The league shall be open to membership only to
associations approved by the committee, who reserve for themselfs
the right to refuse any applicant without stating the reason for
such a refusal.
- MANAGEMENT :
Chairman,Secretary,Treasurer and up to 10 committee
members.
- All registered players must have rules and fixture
book.
- Players must produce Fixtures Book upon request
from Captains of either team (players please note this
rule).
- No derogatory comments shall be allowed while the
game is in progress
- ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:
A.G.M. Date is in the book, captains &/or
representives are asked to attend(any individual player may also
attend). One team -one vote.
- EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL
MEETING: At the request of ten
clubs in writing by team captains stating reason for request
.
PLAYING CONDITIONS: All games are played on
Doubles 1-20 and Bull. In Tuesday A and Wednesday A league matches,
five games are to be played, and one point is scored by the team
first scoring the bull in any game so that five points are scored in
each match. In all other leagues ,three games are played, one point
for each game ,so three points are scored in each match. In knockout
competitions, the first team to win two games is the winner up to the
semi 's and finals ,which will be played first to win three games,
except the Sporting Cup which will remain three legs. All League
games to commence no later than 08:30pm and team finals Knock Out
Competitions by 8pm. (Registration to referee by 7:45pm). Doubles and
singles Competitions games may be claimed by attending players if
apponents are not in the club where the match is played by 9pm.
Any
player or team not turning up for cup match or failing to notify
opponent shall be brought before the committee to explain such
reason.
- The board shall be securely fixed to prevent it
shaking and the centre shall be 5ft 8ins from the floor. The
throwing mark which shall be raised at least 1 inch from the
floor, shall be 6ft from the board messured along the floor. To
obviate errors due to sloping floors, the distance from the bull
in a straight line to the throwing mark shall be 8ft
3ins.
