Russian ballet, gives the dancer a strong classical dance foundation. Based on the Vagonova method, it teaches the dancer how best to use every part of his or her body to evoke breathtaking results, right down to the arms hands, and eyes. Training emphasizes on the development of both technical proficiency and individual artistry. Examinations are held twice a year and Examiners from the NATD (National Association of Teachers of Dancing Russian syllabus) come to examine the pupils. Adults are also entered for examinations when ready. We welcome students who have trained with other Ballet Societies. There is no problem in students transfering to the Russian syllabus if they have completed examinations with other associations. © Hitchin School of Russian Ballet 2008. All rights reserved.
