I first met Antoni Sulek in 1968 at Ashington College and we soon became good friends, Anton was difficult to get to know, most people in the art class kept their distance. Anton liked the work of the artist Turner, I was into Vincent Van Gogh. We spent all our spare time in the art room, Anton had a good sense of humour, was intelligent and a very sincere person, vastly misunderstood, and a loner.

Anton has haunted me ever since I lost contact with him in 1970. I shared a small slice of his life and sadly he passed away in 1988 at the age of 36, and is now locked into history, but his art work lives on!

There is a web site dedicated to Anton and his work, with more of his fascinating art work, a short biography, and soon a book to be published of his life and works. The site is run by Ingrid and Jon Taylor.
