My address is 62 ST BERNARDS ROAD,
Oxford OX2 6EJ
By foot from the city centre
Walk north up the Woodstock Road, past
the Radcliffe Infirmary.
Soon after there is a small parade of
shops. Turn left at the road just after the shops.
This is St Bernard’s Road and
the house is half way down on the left hand side.
By car from the North
Drive down
the Woodstock Road from the Ring Road roundabout.
After about
a mile is St Edwards School with the school on the left and playing
fields on the right.
After
another mile, you will find St Philip and St James church towering
above you on the left, just before a traffic crossing. Opposite the
church on the right is Leckford Road.
Turn down
here and drive to the end of the street and turn left, go past one no
entry sign and then turn left at a mini roundabout. Partymania is on
your left corner. This is St Bernard’s Road, which is a one way
street, hence the reason you can't turn directly off the Woodstock Road.
The house is
half way down on the right hand side, just before the second set of
bollards. The drive is narrow, but you can try it or park in the road.
By car from the station
Drive past
the station towards the city centre.
The road bears
left and goes past Worcester College. There are traffic lights at this
point. Go straight on, rather than bearing right, so that you go up Walton
Street. Follow the road past the Petit Blanc restaurant until you
reach a mini roundabout.
Turn right
into St Bernard’s Road, with Partymania on your left and see
the instructions above.
Parking
The area is residents parking
only. I am able to issue permits to
students who drive themselves, but unfortunately not to anyone else as
otherwise I would be through my stock very quickly. There are selected limited waiting areas in adjacent streets.
In particular all of Bevington Road is two hour parking and there is some in
Leckford Road (see map).
