Recommended Poets
Below you will find links to websites and webpages that
feature the work of highly-rated poets.
These poets were recommended by poets, writers, artists and magazine
editors, in response to a survey, in which I asked the following questions:
Which
poet has most influenced your outlook on life?
Who
is your favourite living poet?
Which
poet do you believe deserves more recognition than he or she has received?
If
you scroll through the names below there will no doubt be many poets whose work
you are already familiar with, but there will also be many you will not have
heard of. Of the latter, there is the
potential for some interesting discoveries.
Check out the links below and you may well be very pleasantly surprised.
No
doubt, as you scroll through the list you'll notice the absence of some poets
that you personally rate highly. If
that is the case, it is only because they have not yet been recommended. You can rectify this, if you feel strongly
enough about it. If you want to make a
