A tourist attraction rather than a preserved steam railway. Nevertheless an impressive set-up with a long ride and unusual engines.
Very impressive. Purpose built, two level building. Unlike most steam railways, no scrap or half preserved bits lying about the place.
3½ miles, (being extended to 5½ in future). It goes along a valley edge for the first half, and then alongside Tal Fechan Reservoir

Three foreign narrow gauge
Only saw the carriages used on the day. They were miniature American style coaches to match the engine. Complete with caboose !
One shed for storage and repairs. Had purpose built viewing area, but this meant you couldn't walk about. Had to go on Daddy's shoulders to see properly.
None. Only a few photos on the walls
Fair, but aimed at tourists, so it had a large collection of fudge !
The restaurant deep inside the main building was clean but uninspiring. Also had outdoor picnic benches at the end of a short walk.
Old Fashioned & OK.
Short walk to picnic area. Great view awaiting you, but the sheep seemed interested in pinching your sandwiches.
