Summary

A nice great heritage line, but it was run for tourists.  Over-crowded when we went.  Deserved one of Daddy's Rants !

Site

All the stations (Paignton, Goodrington Sands, Churston & Kingswear) are large, but very functional and nothing much to see.

Ride

Great ! We started at Paignton and traveled 7 miles firstly uphill along the Torbay coast and then downhill into the Dart estuary.  There were cuttings, three viaducts and a tunnel (492 yds).

Engines

Only saw the engine that pulled us.  Apparently have four other steam engines.

Rolling Stock

Nothing fancy, but at least all painted the right colour.  They had a great Pullman observation car, but it was very popular.

Engine Shed

At Paighton and Churston, but couldn't see in.

Shop

Quite large at Paignton.  A 'newspaper stand' at Kingswear.  Neither seemed exciting.

Catering

At both Paignton and Kingwear.  Not tested.

Toilets

Not tested.
