Nice 6 ½ mile run with long tunnel, but disappointing overall. Got 'trapped' at Winchcombe by a gap in the timetable where we could find nothing to see or do.
Main site. Two platforms with footbridge. Shop on one platform. Teashop in separate building. A few trucks converted to hold static displays.
Booklets give the impression that you can see restoration of carriages and wagons here. However we found nothing to see and regretted getting off here.
Now a private house with no public access !
The track doesn't reach here yet, so we didn't see it !!!
A nice run at a reasonable speed. Turn around in the middle of nowhere, just past Gotherington.
Guide book seems to indicate they have a lot, but it was all kept where you couldn't see it. However we were drawn by a nice big engine - Raveningham Hall.
We travelled on nice old corridor carriages, but we didn't see anything else. When they switch the lights on, it means you're about to go into the tunnel !
Only seemed to be able to go around it if on a guided tour - which we missed because Mummy was queuing in the shop to buy my toy !
None.
Medium sized at Toddington.
Flag and Whistle tea-room at Toddington, but we ate sandwiches in the picnic area.
Functional.
None seen
Narrow gauge railways : Operates selected weekends only. Not running when we visited.
Garden Centre next door !
Their extension to Cheltenham Racecourse should open in 2003.
