Sadly, it seems that Legoland no longer plan to open the park at
Christmas. They now just open the big shop and display a few models.
However in the past, most of the park was open. Here's a short history.
Over Christmas 1999, for the first time the park re-opened for
Christmas. The additional attractions / changes were :-
- The Circus was transformed into Santa's Workshop
- The Imagination theatre showed a Peter Pan pantomime
- The I-Spy Express became the Snowball Express.
- The 12 days of Christmas (in Lego) was displayed at various points in the
park.
- Miniland was illuminated
At Christmas 2002, the additional attractions / changes were :-
At Christmas 2003, the main park was not open. However they did have
- A Warehouse sale in a large tent just outside the entrance - good bargains
- A Sale in the main shop - disappointing stock levels
- The 12 days of Christmas (in Lego) on display
- The 'Power Builder' ride - looked too violent to me.
In Christmas 2004, again the main park was not open. They didn't even
have a ride of any kind, and just the Warehouse Sale, Big Shop, Kids Wear and
Pick-a-brick were open.
