It's too late to go and see the dome now as it's shut, which is a pity as I wanted to go back.  Here's what I thought of our one and only visit.

The dome is a train ride and two underground train journeys away.  It's a very big arena a bit like a tent.

When we got in at 11 O'clock  we were given tickets to tell us what time Arena Show we had and what time we had to go and see the Body Zone.

After eating at McDonalds, we went to the Space Ship which was called Home Planet.  This is the only ride and it was great !

Next was Living Island.  This was like the seaside and had lots of things with signs on saying how our island was getting more polluted.  There were some fun arcade games there.

By then it was time it was 1 O'clock and it was our turn in the Body Zone.  We still had to queue for a long time.  I didn't like the beating heart and the brain was broken.

Then we went to Journey.  The queue was even longer, but I liked all the models of cars and other forms of transport.  They even had the starship Enterprise.

Then we went to the Faith Zone which I thought was boring, but Daddy liked it.

Then we found a seat ready for the 4 O'clock Arena Show.  I thought it was great !

Next we went to the Mind Zone.  I liked the giant boy, but I hated the listen room.  It was too noisy.

By now people were leaving, so we quickly went to a few more zones.  First was Self Portrait, which was boring, with just pictures and statues, though again Daddy liked it.

Then we went to Rest, which was too dark and had strange music.  I ran out scared.

Finally we started Work which was silly, but we had to leave part way through Learning to meet our friends at 6 O'clock who had gone to see the Black Adder.

By now I was very tired and just wanted to get home.

A view from the centre

Daddy wrote some hints and tips for anybody else going :-

bulletUnless you go on a very quiet day, you will not have time to see everything.
bulletBuy a guide book (£5) which gives a good indication of what each zone is about.  Look at it while queuing or pausing for a meal.
bulletOn entering, everybody is told to go clockwise.  We cut through the centre and jumped ahead of the crowds.
bulletAll zones except Home Planet are 'walk through' displays.
bulletThe Body Zone is a big disappointment. It's five small rooms and none of them are very impressive.
bulletSome zones which you would have guessed unpopular (such as Rest) still had 15 minute queues most of the day.
bulletWe found the display boards giving queuing times tended to lag behind the rapid changes in queue length.  They also tended to under estimate queue times.
bulletIt got very quiet after 5 O'clock.  If you have the stamina you'll get to see lots of zones then.
bulletSome zones had long queues right up until the close.  These included Body, Money & Millennium Jewels.
bulletYour Arena Show ticket will have where you're supposed to sit.
bulletMcDonalds is VERY popular.  If you must eat there, go upstairs, it's less crowded.
bulletIf you want a break, why not wonder about outside and cross the meridian line.
bulletThe last Black Adder screenings had plenty of room.
bulletPick up a Yes/No voting card as early as possible, there's loads of places to vote on interesting questions.  Don't forget to check your voting record before you go.
bulletWe didn't see Learning, Money, Millennium Jewels, Talk, Shared Ground, Play, Timekeepers, Black Adder film.
