The Location

Placed on the side of the green Perdix piste and just below the Table Vert chair, the Tarentaise is Mark Warner's best-positioned hotel for skiing. Situated at the upper end of the Meribel Valley, skiers of all standards love the Tarentaise for its accessibility to the vast Trois Vallées region and it couldn't be easier to ski back at lunchtime to check on the young ones (or non-skiers!). The centre of Mottaret, with a slection of shops bars and restaurants, is 5 minutes walk downhill and the Telecabine des Cahlets runs till 8pm at night to bring you back to within 100 yards of the hotel. Meribel itself is a short ride away on the free resort bus that runs until 11:30pm or taxis can be easily ordered.

The Hotel Accommodation

Views of the pistes surround the Tarentaise on all sides with the dramatic panorama leading up the valley to Saulire and Mont du Vallon. The south-facing dining room looks enticingly onto the piste and the tastefully furnished bar and lounge open onto a large sun-terrace ideal for watching the world ski by. The creche, sauna and whirlpool are on the lower ground floor. The attractive Alpine-style bedrooms are ideal for families, being of a good size with the majority able to take an extra bed and cot. Most of the double rooms have a full-size single bed as well as a double bed and can therefore be sold as twins. All bedrooms have en-suite bath or shower, WC, TV, direct-dial telephones and fridge. Most have balconies. Further information on the resort and ChaletHotel Tarentaise can be found on the Mark Warner Website:
