Personal Profile
I am an honest and reliable person who is confident at using my own initiative,
working well on my
own and as part of a team. I have a keen interest in all areas of the
design industry, and my
experience has highlighted my skills and strengths in the specific area
of visualisation. I am a
committed Christian and am a member of Huddersfield Christian Fellowship.
I am married and I hold
a full clean UK Driving Licence. My career aim is to further my experience
as a 2D/3D visualiser and
become an accomplished 3D artist.
Employment
7/05 - present Computer Graphics Manager
Watson Batty Architects Ltd
Guiseley, Leeds
Heading up the 3D/ Graphics department in Watson Batty is a challenge
at times, as I'm entirely
responsible for managing our visualisation projects. This is most
enjoyable, and it's great
to see the demand for the department's services growing. Now using
Sketchup to create most
scenes before texturing and rendering in 3ds Max. Using Vray for
the vast majority of work.

6/04 - 7/05 Visualiser
SDA Partnership
Leeds
As one of only two visualisers in a busy architecture practice, I use
3D Studio Max 6 for all 3D
work, and Photoshop for touching up renderings and creating 2D visualisations.
I can produce an
external 3D visual of a building and site in two to three days - a day
or so more to add an internal
visual - meeting my tight deadlines. I am now proficient with the Mental
Ray rendering engine,
which I use for all internal and external 3D visuals.
1/03 - 9/03 Assistant Architectural Visualiser
Aedas Architects
Huddersfield
As my university work placement, I was part of a small, developing team
of visualisers in a busy
architectural practice. I had to meet very tight schedules as our team
was at the end of the
design line before a project was sent to a client or to planning. This
was invaluable experience as I
honed my skills with 3dStudio Max and Photoshop and learned new programs
like ArchiCAD and
Premier while making sure submissions were presented to the highest standards.
