The Prebend Day Centre has a range of services available to people aged 16 and over, enabling them to provide a holistic approach to client welfare by providing support to homeless and rootless people. The term “homeless and rootless” includes those without adequate shelter, people with histories of family problems and abuse, people with histories of institutional care and difficulties in sustaining accommodation, people with educational problems, the long-term unemployed, the mentally or physically ill, and those with substance dependency. Staff are non-judgmental about people in difficulty, whether or not their difficulties may be perceived as being self-imposed.
The service covers Bedford.
Very cheap meals (given free where there is the need - sandwiches on the weekend are always free, as are tea / coffee).
A dedicated worker (Mike Thomas - substance misuse support worker) is there to support people with drug and/or alcohol problems.
Monday: 8.30am – 2 pm
Tuesday – Friday: 8.30am – 3pm
Saturday - Sunday: 12 – 12.30pm
