There are a number of things you might not be too familiar with, or sufficiently skilled at doing. These pages are an attempt to fill in some of the gaps in your set of essential skills.
You'll need to be reasonably good at managing your money if you want to stay out of serious debt problems, which can very easily stack up, especially when you have to live on benefits for a while.
There is your diet to consider, i.e. what you eat, how you prepare and cook it, and what it will cost you to have a reasonably healthy diet on a small budget.
Coming out of an institution also has some problems in respect of your relationships, as you often come out with expectations that are no longer realistic, given that your lifestyle and problems have been a lot different to those faced by the people you left behind when you went away. Their lives have moved on, and their expectations may not be the same as yours, so we'll take a look at what the problems might be, and ways of getting around those problems.
You'll need a variety of interview skills, not the least of which will be how to dress to make the best impression, using techniques such as colour theory to affect the mind of the people who will most likely be interviewing you for such things as jobs, benefits, grants, housing, etc. It's not only "what" you wear that has an effect, but the colours of your clothes, hair (if you have some), and the way you approach situations that can be manipul;ated to get the best effects to your advantage.
Then there are social skills that may need updating if you've been away for a long time. These pages will attempt to point you in the right direction to try and help you re-integrate back into your social life in the smoothest way possible at best, or sidestep the major problems at least.
