Pre-release checklist - this is a document that you can print out to see at a glance some of the important things you will need to do prior to being released
After release checklist - this is a document that you can print out to see at a glance some of the important things you will need to do after being released.
Weekly Financial statement - this is an extended version of Income/Expenditure with sections for non-priority debts and pro-rata payments (an Excel spreadsheet). You can use it to work out your household budget and see at a glance what you have coming in (Income) and what you are spending all your income (expenditure) on a weekly basis. From that, you can easily work out where you need to make savings or changes to make your budget balance out.
Monthly Financial statement - this is an extended version of Income/Expenditure with sections for non-priority debts and pro-rata payments (an Excel spreadsheet). You can use it to work out your household budget and see at a glance what you have coming in (Income) and what you are spending all your income (expenditure) on a monthly basis. From that, you can easily work out where you need to make savings or changes to make your budget balance out.
This is a list of all the Housing Associations and Hostels in the Borough of Bedford (essentially, all of north Bedfordshire) to whom you will be able to apply for housing prior to and after release. Don't just rely on the councils housing list for accommodation. Do make individual applications to each of the Housing Associations where you fit their criteria, as they often have available flats that are given out to people on their own list before being notified to the Council (or BPHA who manages the allocation of housing on behalf of Beds Borough Council).
To watch the AVI versions of these video tutorials, you'll need to have installed on your computer the Tasksmith codec, which you can download from the web site of Techsmith.com, or from here - TSCC Codec
Filling in Income + Expenditure statements- this a tutorial for filling in the Income and Expenditure sections of the financial statement for use in either household budgeting, or for use in negotiating a payment plan with priority creditors.
I've done it in 4 formats to ensure you'll be able to watch no matter what operating system you have on your computer.
| can be used in any browser with the flash plug-in switched on - smallest to download and the best quality video and audio | 2.6 meg |
|
| Can be used in most machines, even old ones. However, the audio quality is low - the TSCC codec above will need to be installed to run this | 2.6 meg |
|
| This is the above Avi with its own media player embedded into it, so it is certain to play whatever version of Windows you have | 2.8 meg |
|
| Windows Media Video can only be used on Windows machines. This also has low quality audio. | 2.8 meg |
|
| This is the higher quaity version for CAB advisers - the TSCC codec above will need to be installed to run this | 10.1 meg |
(These are in PDF format - you can download Adobe Acrobat reader here free, for whatever operating system you use, if you don't already have it on your computer)

Blank app forms for EDF Energy Trust and Npower Energy Trust (unlike the forms on the trusts web sites, these ones can be filled-in on your PC and saved there)
You need to be aware that from the beginning of April 2009, the Anglian Water Assistance Fund (AWAF) will only give money to pay off debts to Anglian Water - they will not give any Further Assistance Payments for things like furniture, Bankruptcy fees.
But, if you are supplied by EDF energy, Scottish Gas or Npower, you can get these payments from their Trust Funds (if you are not supplied by one of these, now's the time to switch if you need a grant for something like bBankruptcy or Debt Relief Order fees - alternately, look on the page that is specific to getting a grant for bankruptcy / DRO fees, as there are more resources there ).
The forms used by each of these trust funds are almost identical (only the front page being different), so the tutorial examples in the badly and well filled-in forms above are still valid for those organisations trust funds.
