Saltwood Boxing Day Run

It's over for another year. Provisional results on news page. Gallery of 74 photos - a bigger version can be sent to you.

The Saltwood Boxing Day Run (not race) was started by villagers as a casual event to help blow away the cobwebs and hangovers of Christmas. From 15 runners in 1975 to 719 in 2004, the numbers have changed but not the essence. It is held for fun and charity.
The course is under 3 miles but hilly, tough and often muddy. It appeals to all, families, fun-runners and international athletes.
