Onslow FC Under 15s:

Match Reports

Sunday 7th October 2007 Under 15’s

Onslow 3 - 3 Staines Lammas

After the tight affair last year when these two teams met, another close match was expected. It looked every bit as tight and gruelling with Onslow probably better on the early exchanges. A penalty was awarded after 11 minutes for a foul on Phil, who confidently got up to slot home. A second was added on 20 minutes with some very slick one touch football for Adam Proctor to pass into then net. Staines struggled to find rhythm but scored from long range, 5 minutes before half time. On 55 minutes against the run of play Jake Wanstall scored a great left fronted strike to give Onslow a cushion. The game at this point turned into a rather physical affair and some of the tackling left a lot to be desired. Staines got a second and finally a third which was incredibly fluky, a wicked deflection! Unfortunately when you’re struggling for a win it seems a very hard task. Onslow can take heart from this result as Staines Lammas are unbeaten this season, most of our games this season have been very tight.
