QE Park Summer Fayre  

Saturday 6th September 2008

Ann Milton, MP has confirmed that she will be coming along and that the Fire and Rescue Services will be there with a giant tender.

Guildford Council will be represented by the Deputy Mayor Pauline Searle and there will be a stand dealing with the local environment.

Eagle Radio is also coming along with the Love Crew and a manned Giant Slide.  The Love Crew will roam area interviewing both helpers and ‘punters’ at the Fayre.

As in previous years there will be food and craft stalls, a BBQ sponsored by Budgens and a bar featuring Hogs Back beers.

For children of all ages there are a range of inflatables such as the Jungle Run and Bungee Races and of course the very successful Village Games will take place at 2.00pm.

This year will also feature two exciting 'Rockhound' workshops where children can make plaster casts of fossils, discover sharks teeth and explore the wonders of our planet down a microscope.

Also: Esporta Challenge, Tug-of-War, Dodgeball, Jungle Run, Bungy Races and numerous stands and stalls.

Stoughton 'Massive':  Youth club for 9˝ to 14 year olds.  Fortnightly on Wednesdays 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Cadet Hall in QE Park.  See Stoughton Youth home page.

Emmanuel Church Youth club:  Thursday evenings,  6:30-8:00pm for school years 7 to 9, and 8:00-9:30pm for school years 10+.  See Stoughton Youth home page.

Perry Hill Youth Club meets on the first Thursday of each month at Worplesdon Memorial Hall. The session begins at 6.45am and ends at 8.45am.  The Club is open to young people from age 8-15yrs.  See Stoughton Youth home page.

Stoughton is looking for volunteers for a local speed watch.  You will be trained to use speed guns. Please email chair@stoughtonca.org if you want to help our small unit reduce speeding cars through Stoughton, or contact PCSO Stephanie Quirk or Cllr Wendy May.
