Community Centre Funding

Developers have given no indication of the actual costs for building and fitting out the community centre above their obligation to provide a shell of 390sqm.  The actual costs for which additional funding is required could be anything between £100K and £300K. 

Some grants have already been won.  Some grants can be applied for only if building is started or complete, others if building has not started but has planning approved, and others can be applied for at any time. 

SCA already has charitable status.  Charity Registration number 1118348

Grants lost

Lack of progress means we have lost: £37K funding of Photo-voltaic roof panels together with £20K matched funding from GBC (see letter from the Energy Saving Trust).
