The following is a list of possible voluntary roles and tasks, although there are many other things to do to help make Stoughton a better place to live.

SCA is very keen to establish a forum or network of Residents Associations, Neighbourhood Watches and other community organisations who can help each other, the sum being greater than the individual parts.  Therefore SCA would like any group to get in contact and become part of the association, or we can help you set one up in your road or area.

SCA is also interested to hear from any business group or guild that shares the same interests as SCA and want to take part. Business groups must be non-profit making and want to improve the community.

A group can be affiliated and nominate a representative for the general committee.  Affiliation allows a group to take advantage of SCA's (future) charitable status and have more influence on what happens.  Affiliation involves the chair or other named person representing their group on the general committee, with the possibility of being elected chair and/or serving on the executive committee.

If you are mainly interested in the community centre project, please see the helping SCCP page.
