The Surrey Advertiser dated 11th January 2008, page 6 contained an article saying "The former airfield in Wisley has been allocated as a appropriate site for an incinerator ..."

Below is an extra from GBC's Site Allocations 2008 document for Lovelace ward showing the extent of site 104. Note that sites 53 & 54 are the actual airfiled which have been allocated as "Mixed Residential and Commercial (53), Residentially led, mixed-use scheme (54)"
