First of all may I wish each and every one of you a happy and prosperous new year.

I am sorry to follow that so rapidly with a request for your help, but I am afraid developers and their in-fill garden grabbing do not rest for the Christmas and New Year break! I think it is important these planning decisions are taken by our elected council representatives instead of council employees, so we need at least 10 objections.

We have until 9^th January to send in objections for the latest plan to attach a two bedroom house to 116 Manor Road. This is just beyond the first bend of Manor Road travelling south.

Our next newsletter will contain a summary of last year. Please feel free to reply with your comments.

SCA's concerns are:

Reverse exit from the property will be dangerous so close to the bend.
Parking will dominate the resultant development.
There is a total of one space for two houses – overflow parking is already a problem in Manor Road.
The development is out of context.
It is blatant garden grabbing – how long before every little gap between buildings is developed?
