Dear Resident

February 2011 #2

We have started a Facebook page for SCA.  Let me know what discussion topics you would like there.  There is a topic already for the Guildford Railway Station redevelopment.

Ian

Roads Works

Salt Box Road closure at the Railway Bridge 9:30am to 3:30pm on 21st and 22nd February, to carry out bridge maintenance.  For more details call Dyer & Butler 02380742222.

Shepherds Hill southern exit onto Worplesdon road will be closed on 17th February for approx. 6 weeks or as long as it takes for Scotia Gas Networks to re-lay the gas main.  The northern exit will continue to operate, but entry will be from Fentum Road when relevant traffic signs are on display.

Seniors Luncheon Club

Jacobs Well Village Hall - Meets weekly every Monday - 10.30 until 4.00 pm

For elevenses, light lunch and afternoon tea, intelligent conversation and various entertainments.  Please call Maureen with ideas for future activities and entertainment of your choice.

The nature of the grant allows us to keep costs negligible while the club is starting up, but we must have more regulars in order to keep it going.

Residents wishing to come, for catering purposes, should either call Maureen Bell on (01483) 570275 or email mdhbell@talk21.com.

We recognise that people who will want to attend are less likely to have access to emails, therefore please tell anyone you know in North Guildford.  Download and print a few advertising posters Seniors Luncheon Club [PDF].

Jacobs Well Village Hall

Pattern Making and Garment Design Workshops
Tuesdays 7:30 - 9:00pm, now at Emmanuel Church, Stoughton

(not Tuesday 22nd because of half-term)

Learn to make a pattern for yourself, which fits and can be adapted to any style of your choice.  A fabric can then be selected and a suitable garment designed and made.  Beginners and all ages are welcome.  Weekly.

For further details please call Maureen Bell on (01483) 570275 or email mdhbell@talk21.com
