Community Open Day 25th April 2004

‘Post-It’ notes put up by Stoughton Residents during the open-day.

Parked cars at Stoughton Road end of Grange Road are very problematic to traffic flow (& dangerous to pedestrians – especially waiting at bus stand).  Cars coming into Grange Rd particularly are forcing their way past the parked vehicles on their side, leaving nowhere for the oncoming traffic to go – except on the pavement.

SUGGEST DOUBLE YELLOW LINES & LOCAL SCHOOLS MAKE THEIR PARKING AVAILABLE TO LOCAL RESIDENTS.

There are NO recycling boxes for QE Park.  Council say we must wait until the development is complete.  They already collect from surrounding roads – why are we victimised?  Roads are still in v. poor state & incomplete street lighting.  Yet community tax charges are v. high for few services.

GRANGE ROAD BREAKING UP – ALL DEVELOPERS WILL DO IS PATCH IT UP!

Cars parking almost on roundabouts.  (Cumberland Ave end of Grange Road & Northway junction with Aldershot Rd) – Particularly hinder traffic flow.

Speeding in Manor & Grange Road !

Grange Road pot holes

Pot holes in Salt Box Rd by new traffic lights

Shepherds Lane also has problem with pot holes

Where is the park‘n’ ride & the £1.6 million from the QE Park developers to pay for it?

There are no community facilities in Stoughton since the ward boundaries changed !
