The Major Oak Chorus is a fairly new men’s Barbershop Chorus, only formed in 2003.
| ||||||||
| We are full members of BABS
(The British Association of Barbershop Singers) the UK’s
internationally recognised men’s barbershop organisation.
| ||||||||
| With currently around 35
members, many of us had no prior barbershop singing experience. We
first competed in the UK's barbershop chorus competition, the annual
BABS Convention, at Brighton in 2005, Harrogate in 2006, Scarborough
2007 and we will be competing again in Cheltenham in 2008.
We were pleased with the steady progress we have made, moving up the rankings at each competition. Its not without some hard work, but its also great fun - you should try it!.
