• The Main Table corresponds to selecting the following options:
  • diacritic option
  • simplified nasalization option
  • uniform alveolar option (but also shows the Latin character for the Malayalam alveolar option)
  • two-way urpha option
  • uniform vowel option
    
    
• A dotted circle represents an arbitrary, but appropriate, character.
  
  
• Round brackets enclose characters which belong to older forms of the script, or are extensions of the basic script, or (under Ben.) are Assamese characters.
