Convert from Centigrade to Fahrenheit in your head

The Rule:
To get the degrees Fahrenheit, double the degrees Centigrade (or Celsius), subtract 10% and add 32.
The Reasoning:
Let a temperature of C degrees Centigrade be equivalent to F degrees Fahrenheit. Then: F = (9/5)C + 32
_ = (18/10)C + 32
_ = [(20 - 2)/10]C + 32
_ = (2 - 0.2)C + 32
_ = 2C - 10%(2C) + 32
