Walking on the Delhi Ridge

At one time I lived in Rajpur Road, Delhi, and used to go go work by walking on a fairly direct way over the Ridge. In the cold weather it was often misty, and peacocks were out. It was fascinating to see the chicks following their mother.

Sometimes I would return in the afternoon by walking over a rockier part. One day I met two men there, hence the following conversation (in Hindi):

“Where are you going?“
“Rajpur Road.”
“Rajpur Road is not this way, it's that way (pointing).”
(after a pause) “O.K.”

So that was the last time I went into that part of the slopes.
